About Allen

While brought to international attention when resident Carly Patterson medaled in the Olympics, Allen has been a rapidly growing suburb of Dallas for years. At one time inhabited by Caddo and Comanche Indians, these tribes migrated west with the coming of white settlers from the east in the 1840s. Allen was part of a stage line running from Bonham through McKinney to Plano, crossing Rowlett Creek. Today, the city has a healthy economy and a notable school district. Premier Foot and Ankle podiatrists welcome patients from the Allen community.
